It was an incredible but challenging campaign due to the high number of entries we received this year, from a wide variety of tech domains. There were previous Tech Climbers who have innovated further in the last 12 months, as well as brand new startups that have already made their mark on the region.
Ultimately, to determine which names appeared on the list, our judges were analysing which businesses:

Have strong growth potential or early signs of traction

Are solving meaningful problems in their sector

Are ready to raise their profile and connect with a wider network
Each entrant and nomination told a story of what makes Liverpool City Region the optimal location to scale a tech business, what investment opportunities are available, the talent the region holds, and what stands in the way of businesses to unlock the same level of opportunity that we associate with London and other capitals.
